Speech/Language Pathology & Audiology
The Speech and Hearing service provides a full range of auditory and speech language pathology services, all aimed at improving a patient’s communication, hearing and swallowing abilities. A therapist certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Associationconducts a thorough diagnostic evaluation and develops an appropriate treatment method, incorporating patient/family education components and necessary follow-up services.
Comprehensive services include the following:
- dysphagia (swallowing) evaluation & treatment
- voice therapy
- language therapy
- cognitive retraining
- auditory rehabilitation – hearing aid fitting, orientation, adjustment & training
