The Nyack Hospital Pastoral Care Department is a multi-faith department that provides for the religious and spiritual needs of patients and families during hospitalization. The Department serves people of all faiths, as well as those without a faith community.
Chaplains and local clergy are available for individual visits in order to provide spiritual support for times of despair and hope, fear and courage, questioning and faith. A chaplain can assist you in meeting the spiritual challenges of illness, in obtaining a visit from a representative from your own tradition, and in arranging for daily Communion and Sabbath observances. A variety of services are available, including:
Anointing and blessing
Coordination of clergy visits
Daily chaplain visits
Daily Eucharist
Provision of religious reading material
Shabbos rooms
Support in times of ethical decision-making
